Dr. Jules A Feledy
Jr. is one
of the most distinguished, respected
Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons in

clinical and academic background in
numerous fields, Dr. Feledy provides his
patients with a unique expertise and

reconstructive surgery world. As one of

ABOUT DR. JULES A. FELEDY |
|
 |
Dr. Feledy is an award-winning,
board-certified plastic surgeon with
over 15 years of post-graduate training
and more than 20 professional
publications and presentations to his
name. He is licensed to practice in
Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and
Texas.
Dr. Feledy earned his medical degree in
1992 from Mount Sinai School of
Medicine in New York City.
During his time there, he served as
president of the Lambda Chapter of Alpha
Omega Alpha medical honor society and
completed two summer fellowships in
anesthesiology.

His
outstanding academic and clinical performance
was recognized by several institutions in the
form of a Merck Award for Clinical
Excellence, a Mount Sinai Alumni Award
for Student Leadership, and clinical honors in
seven specialties.
After
graduation, Dr. Feledy began his extensive
post-doctoral training with an internship and
surgical residency at The Mount Sinai
Medical Center. Following this was a
pair of clinical and research fellowships at
The National Institutes of Health
in Bethesda, MD, where he received two awards
for research excellence.
In 1999, Dr.
Feledy returned to The Mount Sinai Medical
Center to complete a second surgical residency.
He received an award for outstanding research
and was named Chief Resident in his final year.
He then went on to complete a three-year
residency in plastic surgery at Baylor
College of Medicine in Houston, TX,
where he once again became Chief Resident and
also earned a research travel award.
Having become
a clinical specialist in plastic surgery, Dr.
Feledy augmented his training with a
microvascular reconstructive surgery fellowship
at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center
in 2004-2005.
Throughout his
education and clinical practice, Dr. Feledy has
authored more than eight articles in
peer-reviewed medical journals, with several
more articles and chapters pending. He has
presented abstracts and papers at numerous
professional meetings across the U.S. on a
variety of subjects, including TRAM flap breast
reconstruction, broken jaw reconstruction and
oculoplastic surgery.
