Dr. Shila Yazdani grew up in Maryland.  She completed her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry and Pre-Dentistry at University of Maryland at College Park (UMCP) and earned distinction as a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. She received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Howard University, where she also completed post-doctoral training in Implantology and TMJ Disorder Treatments. Attending many continuing education courses, including LVI (Las Vegas Institute for Advance Dental Training), helps Dr. Yazdani stay at the top of her field in Implant, Cosmetic, and Neuromuscular Dentistry, so that she can provide the highest level of care for her patients. Dr. Yazdani is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of numerous local dental study clubs and societies, including the DC Dental Society, DC Millennium Dental Study Club, and the LVI Graduate Dental Study Group.
